There's much to see and do in Senegal! Dakar is a bustling port situated on the westernmost part of Senegal. It is the financial and artistic capital of Senegal with plenty of museums, monuments and sights to keep your itinerary packed! To get away from the busy city, many retreat to Saly which is about an hour and a half drive from the capital. Here you will find beautiful sunsets, lush landscape and the vast Atlantic ocean to marvel.
Elevated Experience Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Mama Africa! The group will be warmly greeted at the airport, with a comfortable, private ride to your accommodations. You will spend the day getting taking in the beauty, delicious food and welcoming ambiance of Dakar! See the sights at Sea Plaza, and relax by the beach. theBRIDGE will host a welcome dinner.
Day 2
Get a good look around! You will get to know Dakar more intimately by visiting the markets, art galleries and museums. Want to take a cooking class? Or a dance class? Here is your chance!
Day 3
Gorée Island! We will take the ferry to Gorée Island, where we will take in the sights and delicious food this beautiful island has to offer. We’ll fill up before beginning our hike around the island and visiting the House of Slaves. We’ll them have a moment of reflection as we take the ferry back to Dakar, for a quiet evening of reflection.
Day 4
Brunch and relaxation! To recover from the previous day, we’ll have a fabulous brunch at a chic resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This will be a day to relax poolside, and ocean side.
Day 5
We’ll take this final day in Dakar to explore cultural sites around the city!
Day 6
Saly, here we come! We’ll depart Dakar and head down to Saly. We’ll visit the Bandia Wildlife Preserve, to see some of Senegal’s animals in their natural setting. Then we’ll have an entertaining dinner at our luxury resort.
Day 7
Pick your adventure! Whether you’re into horseback riding, jet skiing, or just want to chill on the beach and get a massage, we got you! Do your own thing as you reflect on your trip to Senegal.
Day 8
We’ll send you off with a hearty breakfast from the resort, and a nice comfortable ride to the airport. We’ll escort you to the airport, to make sure you get checked in securely, and make your way to your flight.
